I took this recipe from my
Mother's Kitchen. This is one of my favourite dishes for Breakfast. Lets start
with the ingredients:
1- Lobia Dal (black-eyed pea or black-eyed bean) - 250 Gms
2- Dhaniya
(Coriander Leaves)

Jeera (Cummin Seeds)– 25 gms
4-
Lahsun (Garlic Cloves) – 9
5-
Hari Mirch (Green Chillies) – 5
6-
Oil
7- White
Butter (Not Necessary)
8-
Salt
9-
Atta (Wheat Flour)
Steps
to Prepare:
- Soak Lobia Dal overnight in Lukewarm water.
- Boil the Lobia Dal in Pressure Cooker or suitable utensil such that the Lobia Dal can be mashed with fingers.
- Cut Coriander Leaves in small Pieces.
- Roast Jeera Seeds on Tava for 1 min and grind to form powder.
- Cut Garlic Cloves into small pieces.
- Cut Green Chillies into small pieces.
- Remove excess water from the boiled Lobia Dal.
- Mash the Lobia Dal in a wide container.
- Add all the ingredients and Salt to taste.
- Mix the paste with hand well.
- Make small balls of wheat flour dough (Wheat flour and water).
- Roll out the balls.
- Put a tablespoon of paste in the centre of the bread.
- And close the bread from all the sides to form a ball.
- Roll this in the form of flat bread.
- Roast this bread on tawa sprinkling oil on both side of the bread while roasting.
- Place the bread on a clean plate once cooked and place a dollop of White Butter on it.
- Serve Hot.
